Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Cauliflower big size 1 nos


  • Potato 4 nos


  • Basmati rice 2 cups


  • Fried onion 1 cup


  • Kesar 15 -20 string


  • Milk 1/2 cup


  • Cinnamon 4 sticks


  • Cardamom 10 nos


  • Clove 8-9 nos


  • Salt 1 tbsp


  • Ghee 1/4 cup


  • Bay leaves 3 nos


  • Garam masala pwd 1 tsp


  • Sugar 1 tsp


  • Red chilly powder 1 tbsp


  • Curd 1 cup


  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp


  • Chopped Coriander 1 cup

Directions

  • Cut the cauliflower and potato in big pieces.
  • Heat oil and lite fry the vegetables.
  • Mix salt ,sugar, half of the whole pieces , red chilly powder and fried vegetables with curd.
  • Boil the rice with salt , 1 tbsp oil and whole spices. When rice is 70% boil.,.drian the water.
  • Take a heavy bottom vassal , arrange the bottom with half of the rice. Then put vegetables mix with curd, sprinkle fried onion, again put rice . Now spread ghee, garam masala powder, salt, lemon juice, kesar soaked milk , fried onion and chopped coriander on the top
  • Now cover the vassal , seal with atta dough.
  • Put iron tawa on the gas and put the vassal on the tawa.. Heat tawa for 20 minutes.
  • After cook ,wait for 10 minutes and open the lid. Veg Dum biryan is ready to serve with raita.
